Inspector's report · 2026

Traditional motifs rise out of the pattern, and the ratio, by his own account, is 10% tradition and 90% modernity. The work is predominantly black, and the black is absolute, healing as black as it was fresh, the result of a rigorous needle discipline. Colour appears only occasionally, as a subtle accent.
He works from his private atelier, Tsuruyashiki, in Osaka. The work is large scale only, enquiries come only through his website, and he accepts roughly 2 to 4% of them a year. The design is entirely his.
Inspector's note
The inspectors assessed line consistency over bodysuit-scale geometry, which is the hardest test in blackwork, and found it flawless.
